Persnickety Python

Persnickety Python In-Person

Event Description

Are you working on a project that combines numerical and categorical data? Are you trying to merge datasets that share a common variable, but which have different naming conventions? Do you need to import a dataset that has errors in its formatting? Are inconsistent survey responses for your research project causing you grief?

No need to worry! Join us for a hands-on Python workshop that will cover techniques that make working with text data less of a headache!

Please note: This workshop assumes a familiarity with the basics of the Python language. If you have never used Python, please see our Introduction to Python research guide. You can also review the Spring 2025 Semester's Persnickety Python workshop materials by visiting our Data Cleaning research guide.
