Aerial Drone Mapping for the GIS User

Aerial Drone Mapping for the GIS User In-Person

Event Description

Join us for fun hands-on drone sessions which include aerial survey mapping demonstrations for GIS. You will also discover opportunities for using drones in your projects and how to obtain a commercial use license from the FAA.

Sessions will be held the following Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.:

  • September 28th
  • November 2nd
  • November 9th (this workshop will focus primarily on processing imagery into GIS, not flying)
  • December 7th

Please note that three of the sessions will cover the same material, but the November 9th one will focus on processing and image services.

All sessions will be held at the Bernard Field Station site of the Robert Redford Sustainability Center, which is north of The Claremont Colleges, above Foothill Boulevard. Directions will be sent by email within the week before the workshop. These directions will also appear in the window once you register below.
