Understanding Digital Exhibits: A Brown Bag Workshop

Understanding Digital Exhibits: A Brown Bag Workshop In-Person

Event Description

Digital exhibits – such as In Search of a New Home by our Asian Library – are a great way to present information and shed light on materials in an engaging and interesting way for your audience. This one-hour workshop will introduce you to four different platforms that serve as the base for building digital exhibits. Using cultural heritage materials from our collections, you’ll receive an overview of Omeka, Scalar, Esri StoryMaps and Exhibit.so, as well as gain an understanding of each platform’s capacities and strengths.

This is a beginner-friendly workshop and no web design skills are needed. Additionally, it is not required that you come with a specific project use in mind – only that you have a desire to learn more about your options for creating engaging educational digital content!
