We interact with and process spatial data every day. As academics, we are charged with translating the spatial data of our research to our audience in a clear and engaging way.  ArcGIS can be a useful tool in processing and analyzing the spatial data we collect and translate the results into graphical representations. This short workshop will introduce the basics of creating a map in ArcGIS and explore the opportunities this program offers to humanities and social science researchers.
